Hi, I’m Ben. I like to to build things and write about the things I build.

I work on robot hardware at Physical Intelligence.

From 2019-2025 I worked at Boston Dynamics on the Atlas team, helping bring Atlas to the electric era. I worked on electric motors, actuators, grippers, structures, mechanisms, analysis, and more.

I was a grad student, and staff member after I graduated, in Biomimetic Robotics Lab, where I helped get Cheetah 3 up and running and designed the Mini Cheetah. Here’s my S.M. thesis on the the Mini Cheetah and its actuators.
